Recording
Our dual studios in Manchester and Knutsford provide optimal environments for music and audio recording. The Knutsford facility features separate vocal booths, drum rooms, and control areas with line-of-sight monitoring. We accommodate solo artists, full bands, and commercial projects using Neve Genesys desks and ATC 300 monitors. Clients benefit from our extensive microphone collection including Neumann U87 and Royer Ribbon models, alongside Pro Tools HDX systems for high-resolution recording.
Mixing
We combine analogue and digital mixing approaches using Neve Genesys consoles with vintage outboard gear and software suites like Waves and UAD. Our engineers create polished mixes suitable for all playback systems, from studio monitors to mobile devices. Sessions can be conducted in-person or remotely with clients, featuring consultation to establish reference points and ensure sonic alignment with artistic vision across all musical genres.
Mastering
Our mastering process prepares tracks for commercial release through EQ, compression, and stereo imaging. Using Shadow Hills compressors and ATC 300 monitors, we ensure radio-ready quality across genres from rock to electronic. Services include DDP image creation, Red Book CD production, and ISRC code integration. Masters can be delivered digitally or through attended sessions with client participation in our acoustically treated Knutsford studio.
Voice Over
Broadcast-quality voiceover and ADR services are available in our Manchester studio with Neumann U87 microphones and Source Connect Pro remote capabilities. We serve TV, film, and advertising clients including BBC and Dreamworks, providing precise dialogue recording with real-time director feedback. Was great working with Chris in the studio. I've sent him mixes to get mastered for a while now and he certainly hasn't disappointed. Highly recommend to anyone looking to take their mixes or masters to the next level!

I took my son to record his first song, he was a bit nervous , Chris was amazing , knowledgeable, kind and patient. My son sang his song a few times with hints and tips from Chris which improved him considerably. Chris then mixed the song and had it to us within a hour. It was Amazing it sounded fabulous and weve had lots of compliments and offers within hours of putting it out. I would 100% recommend oscillate studios

I can't recommend Chris Hughes and Oscillate Recordings more highly. Chris was great throughout and worked with me to get the best sounds possible. The studio is equipped with some of the best recording equipment available. I couldn't be happier with the results and would definitely work with him again.
